Water Filtration or Treatment
Filtration, sediment control or treatment are all industry terms that are also for cleaning fluids of constituents or contaminants. NCS Fluid Handling Systems Inc offers systems to address a specific solution for a given situation.
Filtration is technically defined as the process of separating suspended solids from a liquid, by causing the latter to pass through the pores of a membrane, called a filter. The liquid which has obtained after filtration is called the filtrate. NCS Fluid Handling Systems incorporates filters made of paper, cloth, sand, or any other porous material.
NCS Fluid Handling Systems offers filter socks or sediment control tanks for construction sites and water polishing systems, such as backwash filter tanks or carbon bed filtration tanks or cartridges, in cases where hydrocarbon removal is required.

The mixtures are of two main types: homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures. A homogeneous mixture is a mixture that is uniform throughout. Air is a homogeneous mixture of different gases, including oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and water vapour.
Homogeneous mixtures are sometimes also called solutions; especially when it is a mixture of a solid dissolved in a liquid, whereas a heterogeneous mixture is like a mixture of sand in water. The sand will stay undissolved and is distributed unevenly across the entire mixture. The sand particles floating around which will eventually settle to the bottom of the bottle makes it a heterogeneous mixture. Different types of filters are used to purify and to separate these mixtures from the contaminants. Based on the type of contaminant-large or small, filters of different pore sizes can be used.
